How many days of proper Autumn weather did we have here in the Netherlands? Six or perhaps even nine days and guess who managed to catch a cold huh? Yes exactly yours truly. Apart from stressing out because this is really not the right moment to not be able to give a 100% (then again when is it ever the right moment to be sick?) I have been thinking about jackets, scarfs and boots the past weeks or so and one particular kind of jacket: the down jacket. After spying the first images of the Balenciaga runway show earlier this year I have been dying to style a down jacket off shoulder and maybe being able to look as cool as the Balenciaga girl. As my funds are limited I have been looking for more affordable versions of the above mentioned jacket, especially because in all honestly I am not sure how long my excitement for the down jacket will remain (they have been my worst nightmare from my early teenage years until…well until the beginning of this year). As always Mango is right by your side to provide you with the goods, just like the Chloe lookalikes the Balenciaga lookalike down jacket is just perfect.
I would most definitely wear the jacket with either a pair of blue jeans or a pair of navy suit pants because I have been drawn to navy lately. Don’t you worry I won’t stop wearing black any time soon. Add a bit of patent leather in form of boots and you are good to go!
Other than that I am still and forever in love with anything knitted so I have been browsing the Outnet a lot for knits lately and my favorite pieces – by far – would be the Iris & Ink knitted navy skirt and the J Brand turtleneck jumper. Both are such timeless yet versatile pieces. Combining these two would work oh so well and I would add this jacket from Mango for that extra layer (hint: to not get sick next time) plus the most perfect Sandro bag.
Have you been caught by one of the AW trends? Or do you have a little more willpower than me and you can resist?
