36 degrees. That’s the point your brain just shuts down and screams water all day long. When focusing on work seems like something that is just not gonna happen. On those days maybe you should just allow yourself some slack and not do any work (ok ok hardly any work). There is a reason why in Spain for example they have the siesta, traditionally giving the people the opportunity to rest during the hottest hours of the day.
But what does one wear when even the thought of going outside makes you sweaty already? In all honesty, I don’t think I will be giving you the answer today. But I will try. Personally, I hardly ever wear short dresses – I must be in the comfort of a holiday in the south to dare to go out in a mini dress. Which is why for the daily errands in the city during a heat wave I would opt for a midi or maxi dress instead. My new &OTHERSTORIES dress ticks all the boxes:
– It’s midi (well maxi on me)
– It’s extremely wide which let’s your skin breath
– It’s a cotton-modal mix and a little thicker so you don’t have to worry about your underwear showing
– It’s a timeless dress that will hopefully last me some years
