Somehow, each year I end up wearing mostly black in summer. Why that is? I don’t know. There is something very classy in wearing all-black in summer I find. It also has the benefit of not showing any sweat marks – imagine wearing a grey t-shirt in the current heat? Probably not the best idea. As you all know I am much more of a trousers kinda girl but what options do you have when it does get extremely hot I wonder? Yours truly will opt for wide thin trousers – I am currently still searching high and low for a pair of black wide linen trousers – somehow linen is often reduced to light colors such as white and beige. Send any recommendations my way please!
This outfit came along really natural after purchasing the summery black blouse from COS. I felt like the girly look of it needed some contrast which came in the form of my chunky sandals (also COS). Since buying into this trend just before flying to NYC in May I have been wearing them loads. I have always liked chunky shoes in general and I am so happy with my chunky sandals. They turn every look that is a little too girly for my liking in the perfectly balanced look. After adding a pair of wide trousers, some classic black sunglasses I was done to hit the streets. Simple but effective.
