Quality vs. Quantity

You might or might not have gotten bored by my constant “quality over quantity” mantra. Funny thing is if you ask my friends they will laugh at my mantra and point out that my wardrobe is bursting as always. How can quality be my goal then? Well well well.. let me tell you while I do like to also buy some seasonal goods now and then (talking about trend pieces) for my basics I like to invest a little more because in the end you get what you pay for.
Recently, I have come across a new brand for such basics called WORON. If I had to describe the brand in three words I would say scandinavian, minimal, sustainable. If I haven’t convinced you already – which I am sure I did – the two sister Anya and Arina founded WORON for the modern woman, who sees her lingerie as something to look forward to wear and not something to look forward to take off. Their base collection not only features the prettiest bralettes & briefs but also perfectly designed tees and one-pieces. I am always on the hunt for a good white v-neck tee that is not completely see through and has a nice fit! I can garauntee you I haven’t stopped wearing my white muscle tee since it landed at my doorstep.
The material is so soft it makes me feel instantly comfortable in my own skin. The whole collection is made of 94% modal and 6% elastane. I had to google what modal actually is and how it’s produced so if you didn’t know before don’t worry. Modal is a beechwood pulp fiber it is know for being smooth, soft and breathable. The production is environmental friendly and sustainable – now this is one of a kind super fabric if you ask me!
What do you think about basics? Quality vs. quantity?

I’m also always struggling with the quality – quantity thing. In the end I’ve realised that it works for me to invest in basics and buy just a few “seasonal-trendy” pieces from high-street labels..

But I am the same really! I like to spend more on my basics and invest in quality but for seasonal pieces I like to go to Zara & co.

Weniger und hochwertiger zu kaufen, ist auf jeden Fall sehr wichtig, aber ich schaffe es leider noch nicht so ganz, es umzusetzen:/

Ach aber mir geht es da genauso. Ich schaffe es langsam aber sicher für meine Basics auf Qualität zu setzten. Kaufe aber immer noch Trend-Teile bei Zara, Mango & co. Das finde ich aber auch legitim.

But: I can understand that younger people who have not that kind of budget that others have buy cheap basics and trend pieces.
I can never understand when people have the money and then buy clothes made in Bangladesh, Cambodia etc. for just a few Euros or Dollars. That is not okay!
But that is my personal opinion.

Ohh I couldn’t agree more. I used to spend my limited buget on cheap pieces as well but that was because I couldn’t spend more on my clothes. Now that prefer so buy less & more quality. However for seasonal goods I still like to turn to Zara & co. xx

Tolles Outfit 🙂 ich nehme mir auch schon länger vor auf Qualität zu setzen – auch wenn das mit einem kleinen Studentenbudget gar nicht so einfach ist. So lange muss ich halt auf Secondhand zurück greifen 🙂

Ich finde es auch immer schwierig bei kleinem Budget auf Qualität zu achten, aber oft lasse ich mir dann solche Sachen eben zu Geburtstag / Weihnachten schenken 🙂

ich versteh dein mantra vollkommen 🙂 geht mir genauso und ich hab mich in letzter wieder von so vielen kleidungsstücken getrennt, die dem einfach nicht entsprochen haben. es lebt sich so viel unbeschwerter irgendwie mit einem kleineren schrank – und irgendwie hatte ich auch schon ewig nicht mehr das problem nicht zu wissen was ich anziehen soll 🙂

Ja ich trenne mich auch von immer mehr Teilen und immer weniger darf in meinem Kleiderschrank bleiben. Ich finde damit fühlt man sich viel viel besser. Und ich kenne das – morgens brauche ich eigentlich nie sonderlich lange um mich anzuziehen! <3

ich liebe diesen Look, würde ich sofort ganz genauso anziehen!!! Die Lederjacke ist einfach nur WOW und Blue Jeans – White Shirt ist der Klassiker schlecht hin. Du hättest es mit den nudefarbenen Pumps nicht schöner abrunden können 🙂 ! Du siehst fabelhhaft aus!
Und ich sehe es wie du, ich kauf mir mittlerweile auch lieber mal was hochwertigeres anstatt 10 Billigteile auf einmal. Generell bin ich sehr Basicverliebt und finde man kann mit ein paar etwas teureren Accessoires/Blazer/Jacken, richtig viel aus einem zum Großteil aus Basic Sachen bestehen Schrank machen 😉
