Beauty Favorites: Winter

10. February 2016

Why am I uploading a winter skin care blog post in February? It’s because it took winter quite some time to actually hit the Netherlands proper! Meaning my skin has only started to get irritated recently and I haven’t had the time to test the Overnight Mask from the Origins before last week (it was terrible hard to get my hands on it). So today I want to show you what has helped my skin to be less irritated and especially my magic helper against red spots on my skin.

Starting with my daily moisturizer the Make a Difference Plus creme by the Origins. The smell and texture are amazing and it feels super nice when you apply it. The creme is originally for older skin but is also very good for problem skin such as mine. This has helped me through the autumn months and only a couple of weeks ago my skin started getting dry despite using it. You should know usually by the time it gets a little colder my skin starts to get dry & itchy spots so this was already a huge improvement to other moisturizers!

So again I was in need for a little extra helper and I have found the perfect match for the moisturizer; the overnight mask by the Origins. Same brand and same amazing texture and smell. What I like best about the products is that they are all natural and organic and I have really seen the difference it can make! That is also why I am trying to switch completely to natural skin products in the future! But lets get back to the mask – you apply it 2-3 times a week after cleansing your face in the evening and in the morning your skin feels fresh and soft (at least mine does).

Last but not least the promised magic helper; the la Roche Posay Rosaliac Intense Gel. From time to time (especially when I am stressed) I will get lots of red little spots around my cheeks, whenever that happens I use the gel and apply it to my cheeks after cleansing my face. It will immediately stop itching and after using it in the morning and evening for a couple of days I can usually see a big difference. Again la Roche Posay is an all natural and organic brand and I can really recommend their products!

I hope this might have been interesting for some of you if you were still searching for some good skin products or you just have problem skin like me! You can also find some other products that I really want to test in the future below.

  1. Die Maske von Origins möchte ich unbedingt ausprobieren und sonst verwende ich auch gerne verschiedene Kiehls Produkte für trockene Winterhaut:)

      Yes so good right? xx
