Typing this blog post down while being in Tokyo feels a little surreal, to be honest. Two weeks ago I boarded a plane to Seoul – a city that I had intended to spend my semester abroad. As you know, I ended up spending that said semester in Taipei, Taiwan instead, which was one of the best experiences of my life. However, I had always wanted to go to Seoul. Somehow, I never managed to go during my semester abroad so it was listed down as a MUST when Elisa and I first started talking about travelling to Asia together. The city is known for its extraordinary assortment of Korean beauty brands, fashion brands, kimchi and a little less known fact: art district. I had wanted to go to the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Seoul since I started doing my travel research. The architecture of the place is stunning and the exhibitions were really up my alley. More on that in my visual diary of Seoul – yes, of course, yours truly is already working on that.

For my look I wanted to wear a clean and minimalistic outfit to compliment the architecture of the museum, thus I opted for my new midnight blue JAKE*S woollen coat and a pair of JAKE*S Collection suit pants with a split detailing. The coat has a boxy fit and adds masculinity to the otherwise quite feminine look. If I do go out wearing heels I always make sure to add items that will balance them out because I quickly feel overdressed. You know me, it’s always a balancing act between masculinity and femininity for me.
