Week 13 & 14

16. April 2017

The weeks are just rushing by like trees next to the highway. It’s an odd feeling I have been in Taipei for 2 months now and have around 2 1/2 months left here. While I feel all settled in now I keep thinking that I will be leaving so soon, which also means that I have to figure out what I want to be doing since I am finished with my BA degree now. But that’s a different story and should not be in focus right now.

As I told you in the last weekly update which is ages ago – I am so sorry about that – I went to the Philippines. The cold I was talking about back then is still not completely gone, which I like to blame on the extensive use of the ACs in this country. But after coming back from the Philis I had one day of University and around 5 hours to pack my bags again for a bike trip that I decided to join (I am still not sure what was going on in my brain when I decided to join since I am the least sportive person you will ever meet). After all I am super happy I joined the bike trip even though it definitely was the most exhausting trip I have ever done in my entire life. The scenery we got to see was incredible and just to sit next to the bonfire with your friends at night is something very special to me.

With all the traveling going on I am not allowing myself to go to any of the big malls in Taipei since I would always prefer to make more trips, travel to more countries and see the world over a new dress or a new pair of shoes. We will see how much longer I will be able to resist though we all know I am a little shopaholic at times.
