The dad jumper has been around for some time already. First, seen on a lot of my favourite UK girls oh and of course male bloggers, too. I have been circling around them for months just to never find quite the right one. Rightfully so because yours truly had been looking at the completely wrong place for it. While I am usually the first one to go and steal from menswear it hadn’t even occurred to me to steal that specific piece, which is even labelled as a “dad” piece, from the opposite sex. So at the end of 2018 I saw my friend ALICE and she was wearing THE PERFECT dad jumper. Of course, it was from ARKET menswear and while the brand carries a lot of different dad jumpers (also in the women’s section) I never quite enjoyed the fit of them as much as I do with the above-pictured jumper. At this point, I would like to thank ALICE for not minding at all for me to purchase the exact same piece of clothing even though we hang out regularly and it’s just a matter of time until we will both be wearing it to the same occasion.

I am wearing my dad jumper with a black extra wide and extra long pair of trousers – I never fully understood why people said dark blue and black don’t go together because frankly, I believe it’s just fine. I was wearing my DR MARTENS, which have been in my possession for over 8 years now, as it was snowing in Paris that day. During my trip to Paris, I also bought the CELINE tri-fold bag (it was heavily marked down during sales) and was wearing it every day after that so that’s why you see it pictured above. Not entirely sure if it’s the best choice for the outfit but definitely the best choice for my mood on that specific day.
