That Island Life

After a early start from the ferry terminal in Cebu City we arrived in paradise. Our own personal highlight of the Philippines: Camotes Island. It’s a bit of a secret tip and not overrun by tourists (yet). We arrived and brought the rain with us as always but while driving up to our resort the sun peeked through the palm trees and by the time we arrived at our destination the little private beach was filled with sunshine and the ocean brise. No surprise that we spend our 3 days mostly lying on the beach and enjoying the easy life wearing not much more than my DELPHINE one piece. Occasionally we would make our way to the bar to enjoy one of too many pineapple shakes.

While Julia is back in cold Germany I have been enduring the constant rain in Taipei for the past month. Don’t get me wrong Taipei has grown on me so much that I don’t mind the rain at all (let’s be honest Dutch weather circumstances are the same) but the cold is something I am still trying to adapt to. So what could be better than planning a spontaneous escape to your favorite island? Yep, I will be back in Camotes in one short week for some more lazy beach days and pineapple shakes – obviously.

Hier in HK ist es zur Zeit auch eher kalt und regnerisch – die schlechteste Zeit des Jahres 🙁
